Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse

Historic lighthouse built in 1985

Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in mainland Australia, and a must see attraction. Just an hour’s drive from our resort, this lighthouse boasts one of the best views on land for whale watching during the months of May through September.

This historic site was built in 1985 and is still vital to the ships that navigate the treacherous cape. If you want to know more about this lighthouse, you can visit the Interpretation Center, located inside one of the original lighthouse keepers’ cabins. Here you will be able to learn more about the life of the numerous lighthouse keepers who guarded this steep coast.

After expanding your knowledge of history you can enjoy a coffee or delicious snacks at the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse Café.
